Shining Force is a tactical turn-based RPG for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis released in 1992. Players control Max, leading a growing army of unique characters against the evil forces of Runefaust to prevent the resurrection of the Dark Dragon. Gameplay alternates between story-driven exploration in towns and strategic, grid-based battles.
